At Uniglobe Travel (British Isles & Europe, Middle East & Africa), we are proud to support Plan International, a global organisation working to provide clean water, education, shelter, and emergency relief to some of the world’s most vulnerable communities.
Our commitment goes beyond financial contributions — our member agencies and teams actively engage in fundraising, awareness-building, and advocacy to help advance Plan International’s mission.
Uniglobe is committed to advancing sustainability across our network and the travel industry at large. We actively support efforts to reduce the environmental impact of business travel — including carbon offset programs and partnerships that promote responsible travel practices.
Across the British Isles and EMEA, Uniglobe member agencies and their teams also contribute time, expertise, and resources to local environmental and social causes in the communities they serve.
We recognise our responsibility to operate sustainably, and we continue to embed environmental awareness and accountability into the way we work — from daily operations to long-term strategic planning.
For many years, staff at Uniglobe Member agencies have raised funds to support Plan International in meeting basic needs for children in vulnerable regions and providing emergency relief where it’s most needed.
Because I am a Girl is a global initiative by Plan International that empowers girls and young women to break the cycle of poverty and contribute to long-term economic development. Uniglobe Travel (British Isles & Europe, Middle East & Africa) is proud to support this campaign through both fundraising and awareness initiatives across our network.
“As travel industry leaders, it is important to us to help to raise awareness of programs that strengthen economies and create opportunities for young women to succeed,” says Uniglobe Travel International President and Chief Operating Officer, Martin Charlwood.
A groundbreaking report by Because I am a Girl first drew international attention to the harsh realities faced by girls in the world’s poorest regions — where they are disproportionately affected by hunger, lack of education, and limited opportunity. Today, tens of millions of girls remain out of school, and the economic and social costs of underinvesting in young women remain significant.
Uniglobe is proud to support the continued work of Because I am a Girl.
